A critical fight is underway to determine the future of New Mexico's largest electric utility, and whether it falls into the hands of private equity giant Blackstone. But what's the alternative? We buy PNM..or rather, a majority stake in it.

Senator Harold Pope is leading the charge. This Friday during the legislative session, he'll be presenting a Memorial aimed at exploring options for New Mexico to purchase PNM and transform it into a public utility.

The Public Regulation Commission (PRC) has scheduled new hearings to give you a chance to speak out against the Blackstone deal. Here's when and how you can make your voice heard:
