🥳The Living Room Turns One! 🎥Let's Talk About The Business of Making Movies in New Mexico
Would you look at that... It's our 1st anniversary of The Living Room! Where does the time go?
Let's party and talk about the state of local film and TV production. It's been a rough year for the industry, and despite some bright spots (Pluribus, Dark Winds, The Smashing Machine), it might be time to ask serious questions about the incentives that have made New Mexico such a desirable place to make movies.
Local actor Alex Reed hosts a conversation with Kelsey Landon from Inspirado, the formidable director/producer Gay Dillingham, and the Film Office, which promises to send somebody over. Gotta love a good mystery.
We'll have a robust Q&A section, so bring your damn Qs. We'll leave no rock unturned when it comes to solutions. And what better way to do this than with a bucket of popcorn in the best little cinema in town?
For this one, Paid 505OMATIC members get in free. For everyone else, we're trying a sliding scale suggested donation, pretty please.
It's Thursday, April 2nd at Jean Cocteau Cinema. Doors at 6, show starts at 6:30. Followed by a Living Room Anniversary Afterparty at Milk of the Poppy! Hope to see you there!
